We had an old swing in our garden, when my sister and I both swung as hard as we could, one side would loosen from the ground and for just a second it felt like we could fly.
Swinging really high on a swing as a kid is pure exhilaration, a mix of joy, freedom, and a touch of daring. At the peak of the swing, there’s a fleeting moment when the world seems to pause, and you feel weightless, suspended between sky and earth. It’s a moment that fills you with fear and excitement, as if you could let go and fly.
It’s more than just a swing; it's a reminder of how carefree and adventurous childhood feels.
I design and hand make every piece in my studio in Bucks. These are made from porcelain slip clay with a glossy clear finish inside and a matt unglazed outside. They are food safe and can go in the dishwasher. They are 16cm wide and 1.5cm in height.
